How well does this lunch box heat food, and will my meal be hot enough?
Oki Bento heats your food to the same temperature you would get from a microwave at home. Rice, meat, stew, leftovers, it all comes out genuinely hot and not just warm.
Does this product last a long time and do you have warranty?
Oki Bento is built to handle daily use over the long term. The stainless steel tray does not warp, stain, or hold odours over time, and the heating unit is designed to keep performing the same way it did on day one. Every Oki Bento comes with a 12 month warranty, and our support team is available if you ever run into an issue.
How long does it take to charge the battery, and how often do I need to recharge?
A full charge takes around 3 hours. Most people simply plug it in overnight and wake up to a fully charged box ready to go. You really only think about charging it once a day.
Is this lunch box easy to use, or are the controls complicated?
The controls are a few buttons on the front panel and that is genuinely it. You set the time you want to eat, press start, and walk away. There is nothing complicated about it and most people have it fully figured out within the first five minutes of using it.
Will the capacity be enough for my daily lunch needs?
Oki Bento is bigger than most lunch boxes. It fits a full proper meal, think a generous portion of rice or pasta, a main, and sides, all in one tray without having to squash anything down. If you eat a real lunch, it holds a real lunch.
Is the external temperature safe to touch while it's heating?
Yes. The outside of the box stays cool to the touch while the heating element works on the inside. You can pick it up, move it around, and handle it normally while it is mid-cycle without any risk of burning yourself.
